For more than fifty years, Tae Jin-ah, the renowned South Korean trot singer, has mesmerized audiences with his heartfelt melodies and mesmerizing performances. Tae Jin-ah Career

Born Jo Bang-heon in 1953, Tae Jin has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for more than fifty years. He first gained recognition with the release of the popular song “My Heart Express Train” in 1973, and later became a household name with his heartfelt ballad “Memory of a Blue Hill.”

Tae Jin-ah is highly respected in South Korea for his significant contributions to the traditional Trot genre, a genre of Korean music characterized by its emotional lyrics and memorable tunes. In addition to his musical achievements, he has also captivated audiences as a charming host on KBS Radio 2’s “The Tae Jin Ah Show Show Show” and as a regular guest on the Golden Oldies program. Tae Jin and Lee Ok-hyeong have been a prominent couple in the spotlight, with Tae Jin’s dedication to his wife as a source of inspiration. In early 2024, during a Lunar New Year special on KBS, Tae Jin disclosed that Lee Ok-hyung has been grappling with dementia for the past five years. This revelation surprised fans, as they were previously unaware of the situation.

Tae Jin openly discussed the difficulties they are facing, portraying dementia as a thief gradually robbing his wife of her memories. He expressed his enduring love and devotion, emphasizing that Lee Ok-hyung is “99% of his life.”

He shared his deepest wish – for her to slowly forget him, showing his desire to protect her from the pain of realizing she had forgotten him. His vulnerability and commitment struck a chord with viewers, igniting national discussions about dementia and the significance of caregiving.

Tae Jin has recently unveiled a fresh track. “I Will Go With You” is a heartfelt melody dedicated to the love I have for my beloved wife.
